Ravene, Hokianga and the Ferry

Going down on the northern West Coast is looking easy on the map but eventually the road ends at an inlet with no obvious clues how to proceed from there. Luckily, the ferry goes every hour and the captain stuffs it until all cars are on board. The little township on the other side has a nice little harbour with a lot of old and partly deserted houses along a smooth coastline. Following that one, we reached Hokianga and went down further for a special motel at Dargaville. But more of that … later.
