Summer Holidays 2019: Birkenhead, Stokes Point and Devonport

A beautiful day, uncovering a walker’s paradise and other hidden gems around Auckland.

Walk trough Birkenhead CBD.
Artsy.
Le Roys Bush Reserve.
The path goes up and down, mostly down though.
Until two of them go back to retrieve the car and the rest proceeds through lush vegetation until they reach the sea.
Little Shoal Bay.
A bit further, almost under the Auckland Harbour Bridge, dinner is being caught.
Instead of the horse (or sheep), everybody has a boat here.
Skytower from afar.
Under the bridge at Stokes Point: A pou carved by Reuben Kirkwood acts as a visual reminder of the gods, future leaders, and the community members in between.
Later, in Devonport, tired seagulls rest on a bench.
Overtaken by a sailing boat.
Devonport CBD.
Devonport mural.
