Summer Holidays 2020: Shipwreck Bay

Walking a long distance to see the rusty hulk of the privately owned Amokura. Or what’s left of it.

Good Morning pancakes with an antique hand-held blender.
Driveway to a typical farm in the sounds.
Things you see when you walk the Kenepuru road.
Long one-handrailed landings.
Wooden planks with patina.
St. Omer house.
The shipwreck of the Amokura – http://www.nzmaritime.co.nz/amokura.htm
St. Omer Bay.
The tide was coming in fast, we had to move quickly to avoid wet clothes :D
Beautiful findings.
And a very long way back (18 km walk return)
All these yellow flowers weren’t there yesterday…
Still walking ;)
High tide, I guess.
Dinner is served: Fettucine ai frutti di mare.
Our deck-table potpourri, eucalyptus, kawakawa, salvia and pohutekawa.

Schnitzel
